How I turned failure to success...
I knew all the ins-and-outs of making websites, I knew all the usual blurb about traffic and email marketing etc. Yet, I struggled to make any sales online and was ready to give up like the 83% before me...but for some reason I did stick with it just long enough to be an 'over-night success'...after two years!

I guess the promise of being able to quit my day job, being my own boss and working from home (or anywhere) was just too attractive a picture to resist...

I followed the same path as the majority of online marketers did/do in the hope for a better life. The plan was someting like this:

Build a number of minisites,
Put up a few keyword rich, search engine optimized pages,
Mix in a few PLR articles,
Add some Adsense blocks to the pages,
Start a few Adwords campaigns to send traffic to the sites,
Collect cheques,
Rinse and repeat...

And if you are lucky, you haven't spent more than $1500!
You return to your sites every so often, add/refresh content, submit new articles , post your URLs to online directories. The days turn into weeks, weeks into months and you still haven't seen a dime yet... Meanwhile, you spend more money on eBooks because you still believe that it is possible, you might just need more 'training'. More time passes and you are wondering what it is you are still doing wrong...

Well, the problem is not you, it's the competition and the fact that everybody is doing the same thing, use the same 'cook-book', the same tools, the same keywords, the same everything!

YOU must STAND OUT from the crowd!
But because of the competition, Adsense ads are paying less and less and Adwords ads cost more and more as keywords get more expensive. What used to be a 'great little earner' does not earn you enough for a chocolate bar!

It is difficult to break into high-earning niches, specially for the 'little guy' or those just starting out. Adword campaigns can cost a lot of money and Adsense ads will not generate enough to make a living!
